About Emma

I am better with pictures than words…

“Emma took our photos for our wedding and BOOKING HER WAS ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS WE MADE. We’d choose her a 1000 times again. She made us feel relaxed throughout the day and she did everything with a smile. Everything was so stress and trouble free and our beautiful photos reflect that. Thanks for capturing great memories Emma!! x” Aisling & Joe

I photograph weddings for awesome chilled out couples that like to have a laugh on their day, who want relaxed, beautiful and real photographs to remember all the moments as they naturally happen.

I’ve been described as easy going, relaxed and fun! This is the way I see it…. it’s a celebration, a party with all your favourite people together … my job is to capture all the joy, love and laughter that will unfold through the day. I’ll look after the photos, you look after looking and feeling fabulous and together we’ll create amazing images you’ll cherish forever! xxx We’ll also have fun!

A few facts about Emma…

I grew up in Lagos, Algarve so I speak Portuguese (badly, mainly the important things like….. coffee, wine and appropriate swear words!)
I arrived in Ireland with the intention of moving on after 6 months… that was 15 years ago!
I trained as a press photographer in Limerick with Press 22 Photography agency who taught me how to use light to create my images
I love strong coffee, dark salty chocolate & Ripasso red wine (not necessarily together, but shure why not!)
I can’t sing to save my life…not a note in my head
I love seeing photographs printed and not just on a screen
I generally cry at every wedding I shoot at least once, one of the many reasons I don’t wear make-up!
I live in a cute pixie like Old Gate Lodge (Yes it’s been my life long dream)
I’m a total sun worshipper and can lie on a beach for hours (with the right book) & I’m a qualified Dive Master
I’ve travelled around Iceland in a campervan chasing the Northern Lights, I’ve travelled around New Zealand and Europe in various campers in search of vineyards and cycling wine tours!
I trecked up a mountain in the Phillippines and travelled for 2days to receive my first tattoo from a 100yr old kalinga tribal woman when I was 36.

When I was 8 years old I came first place in the sack race at my school… (still one of my all time favourite accomplishments)

You make the moments, I capture them!
