Nestled among ancient woods and sparkling water, Inish Beg Estate was the perfect backdrop for Dee and Mateo’s relaxed yet deeply meaningful celebration. Think quiet luxury, natural beauty, and a magical setting just made for intimate weddings.
đź’Ť Getting Ready at the Boat House
The day began peacefully at the Boat House, tucked away on the estate grounds. Dee and Mateo each prepared surrounded by calm waters, rustling leaves, and the excited buzz of what was to come.
🌿 The Ceremony: Love, Heritage & Sunshine
With 80 of their nearest and dearest gathered at the front of the house, the ceremony was led by a close friend, making it heartfelt and personal from the first word.
✨ Highlights of the Ceremony:
- Readings and poems from friends and the mothers of the couple
- A stunning live performance from Mateo’s uncle, who sang and played a traditional Maltese song on guitar
- Golden sunlight bathing the entire scene—it was honestly like something out of a dream
📸 A Few Photos, A Little Magic
After the ceremony, we slipped away for just five minutes for a relaxed, low-key couple shoot—perfectly capturing the quiet joy between Dee and Mateo.
I was still recovering from a broken rib, so I offered them a bespoke short elopement-style shoot, tailored to preserve their connection without too much movement or posing.
🥂 Walled Garden Reception: Focaccia, Maltese Snacks & Fun
The drinks reception kicked off in the walled garden, where guests soaked in the sun, shared hugs, sipped wine, and nibbled on homemade focaccia bread and Maltese-inspired snacks—a beautiful nod to Mateo’s roots.
Laughter, dancing, and deep conversation filled the air for hours.
📸 A Fan Girl Moment: Shantanu Starick in the Wild
To top it all off, the incredible Shantanu Starick was there, taking dreamy Polaroid portraits that felt like pure art. As a huge admirer of his work, meeting him was a genuine fangirl moment for me.
