Today’s Outside Humanist ceremony at Castlemartyr Castle ruins wedding story embodies the love of this gorgeous couple Cary and Andreas but with an adorable twist – with their two lovely beagle pups! This South African couple decided to tie the knot by having their elopement in Ireland. I am glad to say that they couldn’t have picked a better location, because when it comes to elopements, you know that saying ‘I do’ in the perfect place is everything! They chose the breathtaking Castlemartyr with its scenic castle ruins, which proved to be a haven for their humanist outside ceremony.

Bring your fur-babies with you!

Sometimes all you need is just the two of you and your furry family to realize your dream day (with the help of an amazing wedding planner like Annie, of course!) If you are thinking of eloping in Ireland, that is a battle a half won, since there are a plethora of epic places to hold your wedding! But if you want your pups to be included like this charming couple, consider having an outside ceremony. Not only that gives a whole lot of location options, but it also results in extraordinary photos. Plus every photo looks better with pups, am I right?

Elope with romantic traditions

When it comes to Cary and Andreas, they were truly a joy to behold. It was a simple yet romantic elopement with a humanist outside ceremony held at 3 pm by the Castle ruins. Their sweet beagle pups Artemis and Ella were maid of honours and nothing can beat how amazing that fact alone was! Cary wore a gorgeous vintage wedding dress, beautifully completed with an orchid bouquet mixed with succulents. They decided to include the hand-fasting ritual which infused their elopement with Celtic Irish charm. If you are a destination couple who wants to elope to Ireland, here’s a tip: choosing a Celtic ritual to bind your love is always a wonderful touch to add to your humanist wedding. It will make the vows more special and definitely memorable.

Take time to explore your venue

For their elopement photo couple session, we had fun strolling through the estate. Cary and Andreas revelled in the green lands that were wonderfully contrasted with grey stone castle walls and towering trees for the ideal amount of drama. The ruins gave the feeling of a real-life fairytale, which beautifully complemented their unique and sweet personalities! I just loved when they shared their toasts sitting on a romantic table under a tree, savouring that newlywed feeling.
