If you decide to get married in West Cork in Ireland, you should expect a little bit of rain – no matter the season. But this doesn’t mean that you should let a few raindrops dampen your big day! On the contrary – you can use the drizzle to have some of the most magical shots for your wedding photo album. Just like Lisa and Rob did for their Inish Beg wedding!

But how exactly can you prepare for the possibility of rainy weather on your wedding day?

As mentioned, the iconic Inish Beg wedding I recently attended will serve as a perfect example! The rain didn’t stop the beautiful couple from having the time of their lives. After getting ready, Lisa and Rob headed towards the ceremony, which was held in the middle of nature’s lush greenery on Hannibal’s H2O island.

The chilly weather after the rain is the reason you should always have something to keep you warm – a wrap, cardigan or a coat. So, the essential thing is to assemble an emergency wet weather kit, which should contain an umbrella, some tissues, and a spare pair of socks – just in case.

Lisa and Rob would not have enjoyed their big day as much if it hadn’t been for their ability to stay flexible. Because of the rainy weather on their wedding day, their humanist couldn’t begin the ceremony until 1:30 PM. But it was all so worth the wait! The couple blended so well with the surroundings – cue the happy tears! (yet another reason to bring some tissues, apart from the rain).

All in all, this was probably one of the most picture-perfect weddings I’ve ever attended. And the sunset shots I managed to take with the colourful rainbow as a backdrop speak best about this amazing Inish Beg experience. Luckily the bride has been wearing waterproof makeup, so a smudged mascara couldn’t ruin the flawless photos.
