Gorgeous couple, amazing venue and a dog – a photographer’s heaven! It is precisely how I felt documenting the special day of Simon and Caroline at the Dunowen House. This lovely couple made sure to tailor a celebration that would be meaningful and true to them in every way possible. Of course, one of the highlights was including their whippet Willow in their ceremony and intimate session at the beach. So, if you have booked a venue that doesn’t allow pets, you can always include your dog at your couple portrait session!

Caroline and Simon got ready in a relaxed atmosphere, anxious to tie the knot. The Dunowen House doesn’t allow dogs because they have chickens. However, they were happy to make an exception for their indoor ceremony and let Willow come for a photo opp!

The couple had a wonderful and special ceremony at the Dunowen House. They were so glad that their dog got to witness her humans tie the knot. Willow was actually so calm and sweet – the cutest! After the ceremony, I got to capture their family photographs which included a lovely confetti moment. Following, we headed to the Red Strand Beach with Caroline and Simon.

Once we got there, Willow unleashed her nature and started running around! They had so much fun with her, simply enjoying their bubble. If you’re nervous about having your photos taken, have your dog at your couple portrait session! It will take your mind off the camera and enable you to completely relax.

Caroline and Simon enjoyed their newlywed bliss in the company of their pooch. After that, we got back to the Dunowen House for the reception. A beautiful intimate romantic setting awaited them, along with their families, to celebrate their new chapter in life.
