Don’t you just love when the wedding is relaxed, cosy, intimate and features a great party? Just a beautiful vibe that infuses the atmosphere with joy. It is no secret that I adore laidback celebrations that are completely personalised to fit the character of the couple. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing such an intimate wedding at the Blairscove House, and I can safely say, I had the most amazing time with Summer and Sean! Annie from Elope to Ireland organised the entire day to perfection, as always. She is amazing!!

Blairscove in West Cork for the foodies!

If you wish to elope to Ireland and are searching for a venue that embodies that laidback flair yet has an understated elegance, the Blairscove House is definitely one of the places you should consider. Not only does it have both outdoor and indoor spaces for your iconic event, but it has that perfect mix of relaxed ambience entwined with effortless sophistication. And their food is delicious! It really sets the tone for the canape hour and reception.

Relaxed and intimate

Summer and Sean’s day started on a relaxed note, having breakfast and preparing for their big moment under the mountains surrounding Blairscove. I arrived when the couple started getting ready, so I began shooting the groom and his groomsmen, when hilariously the Garda showed up and it turns out the Sean and some of his groomsmen are police officers in the US (we even wondered if Annie had organised this too!) so this made for some unique photo opps! As Summer’s hair and makeup were done first beautifully by Ruthanna and Linda, I took the time to capture her precious moments, such as putting her breathtaking dress on. She was a true vision! I knew that once Sean sees her in a short while for their first look, he would be stunned. And I was right. His precious reaction completely melted me!

In the meantime, their guests started to arrive at Blairscove House for the most awaited moment – the ceremony. Summer and Sean tied the knot in an intimate ceremony conducted by Garrett Ledwith, surrounded by their favourite people. The estate has that wonderful surrounding that is great for small weddings, so if you plan to elope to Ireland, I am sure you would love it!

Make time to enjoy the day with your crew

After saying I DO, we had so much fun with the group photos and the canape hour. Before the dinner, I got to steal some moments with them and have another session where they could savour their newlywed bliss. They also had the speeches in the courtyard during the drinks reception which always leads to relaxed speeches, taking the pressure off everyone. They also had their first dance while Cork musician Emmo played their first dance song for them in the courtyard. A few minutes in and everyone joined in for an impromptu dancing session full of hugs and kisses. Gorgeous!

I hope you found this wedding at the Blairscove House as charming and fun as I did! If you love my style and want me to tag along for your special day, please contact me. Elope to Ireland at Blairscove House.
